MAURICE ELVEKROG, Ph.D., CFA
Maury Elvekrog, Chairman of Seger-Elvekrog Inc., is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Institute and a member of the Investment Analysts Society of Detroit. A co-author to Better Investings monthly column Repair Shop, he is a member of the Securities Review and Editorial Advisory Committee of the NAIC magazine Better Investing and a co-manager of the NAIC Investor Advisory Service.
A respected management consultant, Dr. Elvekrog has managed pension and profit sharing trusts since 1970. In 1981, he joined Ralph Seger to found Seger-Elvekrog Inc. His advice and expert guidance has been quoted in Business Week, USA Today, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The San Francisco Chronicle. He has also appeared on The Today Show and PBS.
SCOTT HORSBURGH, CFA
Scott Horsburgh, President of Seger-Elvekrog Inc., is a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a co-manager of the Investor Advisory Service. Before joining Seger-Elvekrog in 1992, he spent six years as portfolio manager in the Institutional Investment Management Group of National Bank of Detroit, one of the largest banks in the Midwest, where he was responsible for client accounts totaling $300 million.
Mr. Horsburgh is a member of the CFA Institute and the Investment Analysts Society of Detroit, where he previously served as committee chairman. He has written numerous articles for investment publications including two monthly money management columns in Better Investing. His advice has been quoted by The Baltimore Sun, The Detroit Free Press, The Detroit News, and The Oakland Press.
DAN BOYLE, CFA
Dan Boyle, Senior Portfolio Manager of Seger-Elvekrog Inc., is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Before joining Seger-Elvekrog in 2004, he spent six years as Partner for White Pines Ventures, L.L.C., a private equity firm focused on expansion and buyout financings of small and middle market Midwest businesses. Prior to joining White Pines, Mr. Boyle directed the client support operations for FAME Information Services, a leading information services provider to worldwide investment management firms, and was an economic analyst for Chrysler Corporation. Mr. Boyle holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
Mr. Boyle is a member of the CFA Institute and the Investment Analysts Society of Detroit, where he previously served on the Technology Committee. He has served as Guest Lecturer at several financial and investment conferences hosted by the University of Michigan as well as at various entrepreneurial organizations in Metropolitan Detroit.
